Gee Bee Flying was founded by two pilots who, between them, have over 40 years combined flying experience at Compton Abbas Airfield, often cited as the most beautiful airfield in the country. Heading up the operation, Victoria, first learnt to fly here while chasing her own, long-held dream.

As fellow pilots, with years of experience flying, teaching and being taught, we developed a vision to create a new kind of flying school. One which feels like a community, where high-quality training goes hand in hand with safety, professionalism, and airmanship. Something that reflected our own deeply held passion and enthusiasm for flying.

We know that every pilot’s journey is unique. It may be that you dream of flying commercially, or simply want to expand your skills and confidence. Whatever your path, we believe that ongoing support, encouragement and mentorship are just as important as the training itself.

Gee Bee Flying was set up to be more than just an excellent flying school for new pilots. Training is just the beginning of the journey – it’s where the fun really starts! Once you’ve got your licence the world really does open up to you and we will help you to explore what comes next, whether that’s farm-strip flying, cross-channel trips or simply days away to other airfields.
